DJ Hawk – Nominated for Best DJ!

For the third year in a year a row, I’ve been nominated for Best DJ in the Best of Saint John Music Poll Awards which you can read more about at giraffecycle.com.   I won the first two times around but this year I’m fairly certain I’ll relinquish the title to either DJ Fire, a local dj who’s making his mark with regular gigs on radio and at cool clubs like The Canterbury, or Moondog Astrotripper, the king of Friday Night, your host with the most and the brains behind Moondog Astrotripper’s Primordial Soup, a long-time radio show on Local 107.3 FM at UNB Saint John.  Why the lack of confidence for me? Well, this sums up my DJ’ing of late:

I suppose it’s worth noting that I’m still the host of The Meltdown, a soul-funk radio show I started on Local 107.3 FM back in 2006 and runs every Friday night at 10:30 pm. I guess I’m a DJ after all. See you at Peppers Pub on April 22.
